Through the experiences and impressions from my past holidays in Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia I realized: I belong here! The culture, the cordiality of the people and the landscape have completely captivated me. At the same time the poverty, which is omnipresent as soon as you avoid the all-inclusive bunker and travel far away from the main tourist routes, frightened me again and again. So why not give something back to a country that fascinates me so much?
I was made aware of the fundriding action by a former participant. And I thought to myself: WOW! I have to do that too!
My name is Leonie, 25 years young and I live in the contemplative Moers on the Lower Rhine. Due to my job as a social worker, social commitment is probably in my blood. At the same time, travelling is one of my greatest passions. So why not combine both?
In order to make the Fundriding tour through Cambodia as efficient as possible, sponsors are needed. For every kilometre driven (approx. 1100 in total) an amount X directly benefits the people in this country. The more, the better! The smallest donation amount is just 0,01€ per kilometer! Of course, I will bear my own travel expenses during the campaign! The donated money will be used to the full benefit of the aid organisation!
