Characteristics

My name is Nadine Urbansky and I’m 34 years old. In early 2016 I traveled to Cambodia. I forgot the rest of the world and two years of project work for the Thuringian-Cambodian society developed from a originally planned six-month voluntary service. I went to visit the most primitive islands, in the most deserted villages and on different landfill sites: this poverty, this hunger; the modest but seemingly inaccessible desires, and then those smiles. In Battambang, I mainly worked with garbage collectors and farmers. We were able to move a lot with simple means and relatively little financial expenditure. So I know that even small donations will arrive and be put to good use! Shortly after my arrival in Battambang, I met Roland, who was among other things also supporting the Social Wate Center (my workplace) with generous donations. Since then, our paths have crossed multiple times: I have been able to get to know and support many different projects; I consider the work of the Kleine Hilfsaktion as infinitely valuable and could no longer imagine Battambang and its surroundings without it. That is why I decided to end my time in Cambodia with a meaningful trip through the country I that will always have a place in my heart. Let us list up the asphalt and help where help arrives. Become my sponsors and come on the journey!
