After a wonderfuleveningtogether in Muang Fuang, we all slept fantastically and almost all of us got up relatively early. After a sensational breakfast prepared by Thonkhoon, most of us set off on a short trip. After a short crossing of the river with ten scooters, we drove along a gravel road to a nearby school. Here, the Kleine Hilfsaktion spontaneously organized school supplies, which we handed over to the children with beaming faces. They lined up in rows to receive them and then even sang for us. On an off-road tour of about 25 more kilometers, we enjoyed the wonderful landscape.
At lunchtime, we had sandwiches to fortify ourselves for the afternoon tour. We were to travel 90 km towards Vang Vieng. The road is partly paved, partly gravel, sand, or mud. The very varied tour was rounded off by the sensational panorama. Slowly, we rode through the town of Vang Vieng, which was much busier than during our last visit. This is where the famous tubing takes place, a tour down the river on inner tubes.
We then reached our hotel via a newly built bamboo bridge. It was a nice place to stay, with individual, typical Laotian stilt huts and shower toilets that we were familiar with 🙂 Now we are all heading into the city to enjoy the evening, because tomorrow is a day off. Tomorrow, some of us will float down the river and the rest will go on another off-road tour.
