Unfortunately, when we arrived at our accommodation in Vang Vieng, a scooter key had gone missing in the commotion. So today began with us trying to find a solution. No sooner said than done, the scooter was transported by sedan chair across our bamboo bridge to have the lock replaced!
Then our actual day of rest began. To the Blue Lagoon. Sturdy shoes were required, which gave us a bad feeling. The warning was justified, because we had to walk along a bumpy gravel path to reach the beautiful lagoon. The hard journey was worth it. An idyllic setting with huge banana trees in front of rocks and a suspension bridge like something out of Jungle Camp awaited us. As we were about to leave, we were delayed a little longer by a flat tire. But our guide Hoi quickly got it under control.
Back at the accommodation, some enjoyed the facilities or the city. Others opted for a tubing tour on the Nam Song River. We floated back to our hotel for more than three hours.
Tomorrow, after breakfast together, we will visit a social institution. Then we're off to the mountains!
