As expected, T.K.'s barbecue the night before was fantastic, and we will sorely miss his culinary skills. We raised our glasses at the table and reminisced about the last few days. We set off in the morning with slight hangovers. The route was considerable in terms of distance (approx. 160 km), but not particularly challenging in terms of riding technique. It was the AH11. It was straight ahead the whole way, so some of us were able to achieve speeds of up to €100/h again. When we arrived at the outskirts of Vientiane, we grouped together to cover the last 20 km in convoy. This took us back to our original starting point, Villa Lao. After recording our mileage and drinking a beer to mark the end of the tour, we went for our last dinner together. Since Corona threw a spanner in the works for our project (Project Eyesight), we have the last day free. On Saturday, the last of us will go our separate ways.
All that remains is for us to thank our sponsors: Thank you all for making this possible and for improving the situation of the people here with your commitment. Special thanks to T.K. and the crew, we will remember you fondly. Perhaps someone is curious to join us next time, we can highly recommend it. So, farewell from Rahel, Darwin, Heinrich, and Gerd.
