With the largest group of fundriders to date, we arrived in Ou Saom today after a very adventurous ride. The route of ~130 km leads through the Chuor Phnom Krâvanh (Cardamom Mountains), a mountain range that stretches along the Gulf of Thailand in southwestern Cambodia. The Cardamom Mountains in the north consist mainly of sandstone, but gravel, sand, and asphalt also make the roads challenging, especially during the ongoing rainy season.
We got completely wet twice on the route. It seems that the end of the rainy season is being delayed a little here. Despite extremely slippery roads, we arrived in Ou Saom in torrential rain. Tomorrow, we can begin the next stage to Pursat and thus to our first personal aid projects. With today's stage, we have now covered 910 kilometers. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, €43.46 per kilometer has been donated to the projects of Kleine Hilfsaktion so far.
