Hello everyone,

My name is Kira Brinkmann. If you're wondering why my face is so red in the picture: The photo was taken in 2023, when I went on my first Fundriding tour through Laos and Cambodia with my dad, Dirk Brinkmann.

That day, we were at a school. In what felt like 45 degrees, we spent the entire afternoon dancing with the children in the sun. At first glance, this might sound like a perfectly normal, carefree situation: children playing, laughing, dancing, and just having fun.

But unfortunately, for many children in Cambodia, that is not a given.

Many children cannot attend school regularly because they are sick, have to support their families, or simply lack the money. Even carefree moments like playing, dancing, and just being a child are not part of everyday life for many of them. The 2023 trip was one of the most intense experiences of my life. It moved me deeply and has stayed with me to this day. Despite my volunteer work in emergency medical services, I have rarely seen firsthand just how dire the need can be. At the same time, however, I have rarely experienced as much warmth, openness, and gratitude as I did there.

In January, I'll have the chance to take part in the Fundriding Tour through Cambodia again. And that's exactly where you come in.

On the ground, the focus is on very concrete forms of aid: food, clothing, medical care, support for families, help with rebuilding homes, and educational opportunities for children. Often, these are things that seem obvious to us but make a real difference there.

I'm going along myself, I'll be there on the ground, and I'll be pitching in with whatever I can. Your donation helps ensure that this support reaches the places where it's most urgently needed.
