There was laughter, tears, sweat, drying off, drinking, swearing, singing, dancing, talking, and much more. The only thing that's impossible is to put all the emotions and impressions into words. It would never be enough and wouldn't do justice to what this trip did for me. Anyone who has the opportunity to take part in a tour like this should do so. I thought I had an idea of how poor people have to live here. I didn't. It was shocking. Seeing how KHA e.V. helps in an unbureaucratic but highly professional manner by providing food, education, school uniforms, toilets, running water, and medical treatment has made me even more committed to fundraising and collecting donations.

Would you like to actively help others while discovering Cambodia off the beaten tourist track, getting to know the country and its people, and learning about its culture and history? Then you've come to the right place!

We managed individual emergency projects and were able to decide directly on site where and how to help: repairs, renovations, or, if necessary, rebuilding of homes, support in the form of food or donations in kind, e.g., kitchen utensils, mattresses, and blankets, school supplies for the children, but also doctor's visits, medical examinations, and much more.

But there was also plenty of fun to be had: we visited the school founded by the "Kleine Hilfsaktion" charity, where 260 pupils and the teaching staff proudly showed us around their school and put on a wonderful entertainment program. We rode mopeds along sometimes adventurous routes off the beaten tourist track and were able to experience direct, deeply moving encounters with people of all ages. And these are just a few of the highlights of this eventful trip. In short: an experience of a lifetime that will change you and your view of our life here in the Western world forever. A big thank you to Roland, Nadine, Rolf, and everyone involved!

All I can say is: Wonderful Fundriders – Wonderful country – Wonderful people ♥️ I will visit Cambodia again and again to see my friends and help them.

The trip of a lifetime? It was a borderline experience—in the broadest sense: physically and mentally. It greatly broadened my horizons—especially in my mind. It is the most lasting trip that has completely turned my perception of my personal status upside down and still makes me thoughtful, grateful, and humble before the Cambodian people. True to the motto: Dirty but happy! It remains a mystery to me how the locals managed to stay so clean while we were covered in dust from head to toe... It was an indescribable time with indescribable people – both within our group and the Khmer people I had the privilege of getting to know. The fun factor is huge, and at the same time, you get to see a beautiful country, not just the tourist hotspots, if you can even call them that in Cambodia, but also the small villages that consist of just one street with a few houses.
