First Impressions of the Route and Surroundings

Daily Itinerary

The unique charity tour kicks off on November 8, 2025, in the vibrant port city of Kochi (Kerala) and takes us through Karnataka all the way to Goa. The route winds through the fertile plains of South India, past the impressive Western Ghats, through dense forests, and alongside shimmering waterfalls. Along the way, we will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the region.

The social aspect – riding for a good cause, supporting an emergency relief project, delivering wheelchairs, and contributing to the main tour project – gives every kilometer a particularly meaningful and positive purpose. The tour project is a vocational training initiative in the slums of Hyderabad, which we will visit by plane during the tour. If you would like to learn more about it in advance, feel free to contact us.

Here, you’ll find the detailed tour description with precise distance information and impressions of the beauty of each daily stage.

From Kerala to Goa

November 8 – November 22, 2025 (10th Anniversary Fundriding Tour)

Meeting Point: Kochi, Kerala

Today is arrival day. The Fundriders arrive in Kochi, either by plane (COK) or via other means of transport. With its blend of history and modernity, Kochi provides the perfect starting point for our journey.

The vehicles will be handed over today. Depending on the arrival time and individual condition, Roland will offer a personalized riding training session in the early evening. In the evening, we will enjoy a shared BBQ, setting the mood for the upcoming tour and adventure. All important details will be reviewed once again during this gathering.

Route: Kochi – Athirappilly Falls (approx. 80 km)

After a leisurely breakfast in Kochi, Roland will take care of participants who arrived late yesterday. Today, we are taking it easy with just 80 km, starting our tour around midday as we ride toward the spectacular Athirappilly Falls.

The road takes us through charming villages and lush rice fields before we reach the majestic waterfall. Known as the “Niagara of the East,” the Athirappilly Falls offer a breathtaking natural spectacle. We will end the day here in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying the stunning views of the mighty Chalakudy River.

Route: Athirappilly Falls – Pollachi (approx. 110 km)

From the waterfalls, we continue our journey to Pollachi. The route takes us back into the fertile plains, past dense forests and through rolling hills. Pollachi is famous for its vast coconut plantations and agriculture. Here, we have the opportunity to experience the rural life of South India up close.

Route: Pollachi – Coonoor (approx. 130 km)

Today, we ascend into the lush Nilgiri Hills, heading towards Coonoor. The route takes us through endless tea plantations and winding mountain roads, offering spectacular views along the way.

Route: Coonoor – Sulthan Bathery (approx. 150 km)

Our journey continues through the Nilgiri Hills, passing through dense forests and winding roads. Our destination is Sulthan Bathery in the Wayanad district, a region famous for its tea and coffee plantations. Here, we will soak in the beauty of the mountain landscape and prepare for an exciting exploration of Wayanad’s wild nature.

Route: Sulthan Bathery – Kannur (approx. 130 km)

Today, we descend towards the Kerala coast, heading to Kannur. The ride takes us through tropical landscapes, past traditional villages and lush green rice fields. Kannur is famous for its vast beaches and rich history. Here, we can enjoy the ocean breeze and relax by the beach as we end the day.

Rest Day in Kannur

After several intense riding days, we take a well-deserved rest day in Kannur. You can explore the city’s historical landmarks, such as St. Angelo’s Fort, or experience the traditional Theyyam dance. Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy the tranquility of the beaches.

Route: Kannur – Madikeri (approx. 120 km)

We leave the coast behind and ride back into the Western Ghats, heading to Madikeri, in the heart of Coorg. The winding roads through dense forests and misty hills make this stage a truly unforgettable experience. Coorg is famous for its coffee plantations and breathtaking landscapes – a perfect place to relax and enjoy the region’s famous Coorg coffee.

Route: Madikeri – Chikmagaluru (approx. 150 km)

After breakfast, we continue our journey towards the coast, reaching the serene beaches of Agonda in Goa. The relaxed atmosphere and the peaceful shoreline invite us to unwind and recover from the challenges of the ride.

Route: Agonda – Mandrem (approx. 90 km)

Our final stage takes us along the coastal road from Agonda to Mandrem, passing the palm-lined beaches of Anjuna and Vagator. We are expected to arrive in Mandrem around midday, giving everyone the rest of the day for free time and personal exploration. Just 5 km away lies Arambol, offering a bit of lively atmosphere for those who seek it. Whether you prefer some buzz, the incredible ambiance of our accommodation (Villa Rivercat), or the tranquil charm of Mandrem, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Unlike our Cambodia Tour, we need to fly to our main tour project during our India Fundriding Tour. This means we will take the first flight out in the morning and return on the last flight this evening.

We will show you something that no regular tourist would ever see or experience. Our tour project is located deep inside a slum in Hyderabad, offering a truly unique and eye-opening experience. This visit is something very special, and we are excited to share this unforgettable moment with you.

Mandrem: Rest Day & Farewell BBQ

Today is a well-deserved rest day in Mandrem. Take the time to relax on the beach, explore the surroundings, or simply unwind in this peaceful setting.

In the evening, we will come together for a farewell BBQ, celebrating the incredible journey we’ve shared. It’s the perfect moment to reminisce about our adventures, exchange stories, and enjoy our last evening together in this stunning location.

Individual Departure from Mandrem

Today marks the end of our journey. Participants will depart individually, either from GOX (Mopa International Airport) or GOI (Dabolim Airport). GOX is closer and logistically more convenient than GOI, which is approximately 50 km away. If possible, we recommend choosing GOX when booking your return flight.
