Characteristics

Dear Supporter,
My name is Andreas Klug, and I live with my family in the outskirts of Cologne. My two adult daughters are just starting their studies, and for nearly 20 years, I’ve been a successful entrepreneur and expert in Artificial Intelligence.
I work on future-driven AI-powered job scenarios (www.thinkowl.de), I’m the author of the AI Trend Radar (www.trendradar-ki.de), and I advise and speak on transformation projects (www.andreasklug.com). I love my work, and I’m incredibly grateful for my life, surrounded by my kids and friends. But I also remind myself every day that I owe my fulfilling life to the privileges and opportunities I’ve been given.
Not everyone is as lucky.
About five years ago, I first learned about Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V., where my friend Rolf has been passionately involved for many years. Back then, I donated one of my speaking fees to a children’s hospice. And I promised myself that one day, just like Rolf, I would step out of my daily routine and take action. I want to gain a new perspective on life—one that many people don’t have, simply because they lack access to education, healthcare, and security like we do.
That moment has come. In November 2025, I’ll take part in a very special journey—a fundraising tour through Cambodia. Along the way, I’ll visit local aid projects that focus on helping children. These projects are designed for long-term impact, empowering local communities and strengthening their ability to help themselves.
And now you have the chance to support these projects! How?
I will be riding 1,500 km on a scooter across Cambodia, visiting these projects firsthand. Especially in rural areas, basic necessities like healthcare and education are severely lacking. Many village schools don’t even have running water or toilets—things we take for granted are considered luxuries there. I’ll not only support all the projects along the route but also sponsor one specific project on-site.
Here’s the deal:
- I’m covering all my travel expenses myself—100%! That’s about €4,000 plus a lot of time that I’m happy to invest in something truly meaningful.
- Every kilometer should make a difference. I’d love to get one cent per kilometer from you—that’s just €15 for you but a huge help for these local initiatives.
- If you or your company can contribute 10 cents per km (€150), that’s even better!
- Anyone donating 30 cents per km (€450)—which, fun fact, is the same as the standard travel allowance in our “first-world” economy—will get a personal shout-out in every update I post on LinkedIn and Instagram (if you’d like).
Why am I doing this?
My job is to deliver help where it truly matters.
Back home, our glass is always full. Where I’m going, sometimes it’s missing even a single drop.
I’d love for you to be part of this journey—I’ll keep you updated with stories, photos, and posts showing exactly how your contribution directly helps children in need.
And who knows? Maybe this inspires you to take a step towards your own perspective shift—one that truly makes a difference. Even if it’s just in the form of a donated wheelchair (I’ll be bringing one as extra baggage) or a freshwater well for a village.
🙏 Thank you so much for your support!
