My Motivation
I’m joining this special journey because I want to give something back. I’ve been fortunate in life – always meeting the right people at the right time, and I’ve always had a “mentor” who supported and guided me along the way, both professionally and personally. Fate has treated me well, even when it wasn’t immediately obvious.
We live in a world where poverty and suffering are rarely part of our daily reality. And yet, we often get caught up in trivial matters that don’t really matter at all. Many years ago, during my first trip through Vietnam and Cambodia, I realized how little others often have to survive on. Since then, I’ve made a conscious effort not to waste unnecessarily – and that mindset has stayed with me ever since. Now it feels like the right time to show gratitude and give back.
As fate would have it, my client (and now friend) Claus brought this project to my attention.
Yes, it’s an amazing motorcycle adventure – a dream for any biker – and each participant pays their own way.
But the real focus is on a concrete project that can be supported through donations:
A vocational training initiative in the slums of Hyderabad, India, giving young women access to education and new perspectives. It’s a chance to take control of their own lives and break free from the cycle of poverty. Every participant is also committed to organizing a wheelchair to be donated to someone in need on-site.
The personal networks and contacts I’ve built over the years can help make that possible.
Each sponsor can decide individually how they’d like to contribute – either by donating a set amount per kilometer (the tour will cover around 1,500 km), or with a one-time donation.
We start on November 8th in Kochi – you can find the full route and more details on the Fundriding website:
