My name is Darwin Schneider, I am from sunny Baden and I will be 24 years old at the time of the tour.
For quite some time now I have been interested in participating in a project that helps other people who are not as well off as we are. I finally came across the “Kleine Hilfsaktion” through a report in the magazine “Motorrad”. Since I myself am an enthusiastic moped/motorbike rider and that can be wonderfully connected to helping people through this, it was clear to me: I want to participate!
So I applied and after a great phone call with Roland it heard: “You’re in.”
Well, what exactly is it about: we will fly to Laos in February 2020 to offer the people there a different kind of help. The “Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V.” has already striven for and implemented something similar in Cambodia. You can find more details on the website of the “Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V.”. To list everything here would probably break the frame.
So, what can you do?
The collection of donations can be compared with the donation run from the school days. During the campaign we will drive about 1,500 km on 110cc scooters through Laos. My goal is to reach 1 € in donations for every kilometre driven, i.e. a total of 1,500 €. You can donate from 1 cent per kilometre, i.e. 15 € in total. Every donation, even small ones, helps. Fixed amounts are also possible. It is important to mention that you do NOT finance my “holiday”. I pay all costs like flight, my food etc. myself. That way the complete donation will go towards helping people that need it.
