For many years, I – Dirk Brinkmann – have been supporting Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V., an organization founded by my friend Roland Debschütz. What started as a small idea has now helped over 75,000 people in need – mainly in Cambodia, India, and Pakistan, but also in Tanzania and beyond. In recognition of his incredible commitment, Roland was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in 2020 – and rightfully so.

Last year, I had the chance to join my first Fundriding tour through Laos and Cambodia – together with my daughter Kira. What I experienced there moved me deeply: the projects, the people on the ground, the spirit of togetherness, the trust – and the immediate impact of the help provided, without any detours. I saw what can be achieved when you just dosomething instead of just talking. And how even small contributions can make a huge difference.

That experience has stayed with me ever since. That’s why I’ll be joining the tour again in 2025 – this time in India. I’ll be riding a Royal Enfield from Kerala to Goa, together with a group of people who want more than just a travel adventure. We want to make a difference. To support. To create change.

Seit vielen Jahren unterstütze ich, Dirk Brinkmann, den Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V., eine Organisation, die mein Freund Roland Debschütz gegründet hat. Was als kleine Idee begann, hat mittlerweile über 75.000 Menschen in Not geholfen – vor allem in Kambodscha, Indien und Pakistan, aber auch in Tansania und darüber hinaus. Für sein Engagement wurde Roland 2020 mit dem Bundesverdienstkreuz ausgezeichnet – und das völlig zurecht.

Im letzten Jahr durfte ich an meiner ersten Fundriding-Tour durch Laos und Kambodscha teilnehmen – gemeinsam mit meiner Tochter Kira. Was ich dort erlebt habe, hat mich tief berührt: Die Projekte, die Menschen vor Ort, das Miteinander, das Vertrauen – und die unmittelbare Hilfe, die ankommt, ohne Umwege. Ich habe gesehen, was möglich ist, wenn man einfach macht und nicht labert. Und wie groß der Unterschied sein kann, den schon kleine Mittel bewirken.

Diese Erfahrung hat mich nicht mehr losgelassen. Deshalb werde ich 2025 erneut teilnehmen – diesmal in Indien. Auf einer Royal Enfield fahre ich von Kerala nach Goa, zusammen mit einer Gruppe, die mehr will als nur reisen: Wir wollen helfen. Unterstützen. Verändern.
