Roland, your great news – „we are planning a fundriding tour again for this year“ – it was the best news for a long time.
Finally, after more than 2 years of forced break, it’s back to Southeast Asia. I was so excited about the last tour in February 2020 (Laos) that I still tell everywhere what a dream trip this has been. By the way, it was one of the most beautiful adventure trips in my life. We experienced so many beautiful things on this tour through Laos and were also able to be a little help to the local people who are not as well off as we are. Above all, it was impressive to see and experience firsthand how the money goes to those in need on the ground in Laos.
In the last 2 years I could learn a lot about the „Kleine Hilfsaktion“ and I always notice how great everything works there and with what high arrangement Roland and Nadine keep this organization alive.
I also do adventurous on the road at least once a year. For more than 30 years I undertake with the bicycle river tours from the source to the mouth or vice versa. Since I book to 80% no accommodation in advance, I sometimes just never know exactly how far I come in one day (wind / rain / gradients) or where I really finds an overnight stay. But this also has its own special charm. Once it is a hotel, then a pension or a farm and it always shows that everything has its own beautiful charms. In the meantime I have sailed on more than 55 rivers. Many of them also go beyond our national borders.
I have also been able to experience all of this on the LAOS Tour 2020, in a magnificent landscape and always friendly local people. If it is said „it is the tour of your life“, then I can say in retrospect – this is not exaggerated.
I am 67 years old and have not worked for 8 years. I am really looking forward to the new tour in 2022 to Cambodia.
