Characteristics

Hey there,
My name is Lutz Martini, I’m 70 years old, and I’m married to Fundrider Margarethe Martini (see her profile for more info). I hung up my work boots after 50 years in public service / finance – that’s enough! I’ve been retired for five years now, and I have to say, it’s pretty nice.
There’s not much I need to add to my wife’s profile.
I’ve been to Cambodia three times – twice with my wife and once as a Fundrider in 2017. The country and its people have left a deep impression on me. Even though they live in poverty, they are incredibly kind and always ready to help. Visiting Cambodia really makes you appreciate how good we have it in Germany. Here, people complain a lot, but we all have a roof over our heads, access to good food, clean drinking water, and medical care – things that aren’t guaranteed in many parts of the world.
That’s why I’m joining the Fundriding Tour again – to help improve living conditions in a small part of Cambodia. I know I can’t change the whole world, but if I can make life better for a few people, it’s worth it. Of course, I can’t do this alone, so I’m looking for sponsors who are willing to support me and Kleine Hilfsaktion financially.
How the Fundriding Tour works:
We’ll be riding about 1,400 km on large-wheeled scooters through Cambodia, visiting families, schools, and villages. While we’re there, we’ll figure out how we can help directly.
The fundraising works like a sponsored charity run, just on two wheels (you might know these from your kids or grandkids). We need kilometer sponsors who will donate at least 1 cent per kilometer we ride. Here are some examples:
- 1 cent x 1,400 km = 14 EUR
- 5 cents x 1,400 km = 70 EUR
- 10 cents x 1,400 km = 140 EUR
You can also donate a fixed amount if you prefer – every bit helps! All donations go directly to Cambodia, and of course, you’ll get a tax-deductible receipt.
Extra Help Needed:
I also want to bring a used laptop, wheelchair, or walker to Cambodia. If you have something to donate, please let me know!
Just to be clear: All participants pay for their own trip – 100%!
I’d be so grateful for your support. Thank you so much!
