Characteristics

Hey there,
I’m Nadia, and in 2025, I’ll be hitting the road for the third time as a Fundrider for Kleine Hilfsaktion.
Alongside 15 other Fundriders – some of whom are close friends or became friends along the way – I’ll be riding a scooter across Cambodia, visiting projects, providing emergency aid, and sharing stories about the work of Kleine Hilfsaktion in a country that has one of the most brutal histories of modern times. Even today, most people here lack the basics: infrastructure, healthcare, social security. In rural areas, poverty is extreme. Many families live in huts with no solid floor, no water, no electricity. Kids can’t go to school because they have to work to support their families.
Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand what this means. I remember a boy whose hand was so badly scarred from a burn that he couldn’t move it anymore. One surgery changed everything. Now, he can grab, write, learn – things we take for granted, but for him, they’re his only chance to escape poverty. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a bicycle, so kids can make the long journey to school. Or fixing a broken plow so families can work their fields again. Check out the project reports at www.kleinehilfsaktion.de to see for yourself.
I know there’s suffering everywhere – even right here at home. So why Cambodia?
- Because with relatively little effort, you can make a huge, immediate impact here.
Because there are often no government safety nets to catch people when they fall.
Because I know Kleine Hilfsaktion uses donations wisely.
That’s exactly why I’m joining the ride again this year – to help, but also to revisit the families and projects from previous years and see what’s changed. After two tours, I can say with 100% certainty: Every donation makes a difference.
You can support me with a per-kilometer donation (like those charity runs at school) or – a little easier 😉 – a one-time contribution. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference for someone in Cambodia.
Thanks so much,
Nadia
P.S. Of course, I cover all my own travel expenses.
