Characteristics
We, Ute (Werner, born 1963) and Claus (Pohle, born 1958), have been supporting Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V. as members for several years now. Over time, we’ve also become close friends with the driving forces behind the organization – Roland Debschütz, his partner Nadine Urbansky, and their daughter Charlie.
This guided tour through part of India combines several of our passions in one journey. Traveling on two wheels – as Claus puts it, “the best way to get around” – gives us the chance to experience India and its people up close. We’re excited to explore unfamiliar places, gather unique impressions, and share those experiences back home with others. And the fact that, through Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V.’s “Fundriding” concept, we can raise money to help people in need along the way makes this trip even more meaningful for us.
Our route in India starts in Kochi and takes us through tea plantations and over mountain passes, all the way to Goa. From there, we’ll take a short flight to Hyderabad for a day, where Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V. and its local partner are already running several projects supporting children and their mothers in a slum area.
As Fundriders, fundraising is also part of our mission. Here’s how it works: each Fundrider is responsible for finding sponsors who donate a set amount per kilometer we ride. Alternatively, you can also give a fixed amount. Every euro (or even cent!) raised goes directly to the projects supported by Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V.. As a kilometer sponsor, you can pledge as little as €0.01 per kilometer that we – Ute and Claus – cover on our motorcycles during this tour. Every cent and every fixed donation helps the organization’s efforts on the ground.
Each Fundriding tour is linked to a specific project in the country where the tour takes place. Any extra funds go into Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V.’s emergency aid fund or toward other defined projects. That’s why we’re asking you to support this cause that’s so close to our hearts – either by sponsoring a few cents per kilometer or with a one-time donation. Of course, all donors will receive a tax-deductible donation receipt, whether they give once or per kilometer.
One thing we want to make absolutely clear: we’re covering all our own travel expenses. Every single donation goes directly to the projects supported by Kleine Hilfsaktion e.V.
