It is not easy to book participation in a Fundriding tour. We have chosen the way of an application, because there are only a few places on each tour. A Fundrider should be socially interested and curious about the people and needs of the developing country. He/she may like to look for adventures and new challenges and want to make a completely different kind of holiday. However, interested parties must also be prepared to actively acquire supporters for their fundriding tour in the run-up to the trip. We support the Fundrider with an own personal driver page, an own donation form, both in German and English, individualized business cards and flyers, both digitally and in print form.
We would be pleased if you could convince us by your application that we should do this tour together.
Another selection criterion is certainly your attitude towards cycling in general. What type of person are you, how fit are you and what do you expect? Even if a fundriding tour is not a real group trip, you need to be able to work in a team and be considerate. We don’t expect top performance and every participant can switch to the service vehicle and take a break at any time. A fundriding tour is not a challenge and certainly not a racing event. Rather, you should have the organized opportunity to enjoy your hobby, your sport in the breathtaking nature of Laos. Knowing that every kilometre helps is a motivation that should not be underestimated. Dare to be a part of it, work towards the journey of your life and try to get hold of one of these places. Of course, we will take into account that you may want to travel with one or more applicants.
Procedure:
Bewerben Sie sich für die Tour. Füllen Sie die unten stehende Bewerbung aus, heften Sie ein nettes Bild an und los. Sollten Sie dann zu den Auserwählten gehören, haben Sie zwei Aufgaben:
- Fundriding funktioniert wie ein „Sponsored Walk“ in der Schulzeit, nur eben nicht zu Fuß, sondern auf Ihrem mitgebrachten oder vor Ort geliehenen Tourenrad oder Mountain-Bike. Sie müssen Ihre eigenen Km-Sponsoren in Höhe von insgesamt 100 Cent pro gefahrenen Kilometer (ca. 700 km) suchen – Ihr erster Schritt als Entwicklungshelfer.
- Jeder muss entweder einen gebrauchten Rollstuhl oder einen gebrauchten Laptop besorgen und im Gepäck mit nach Laos nehmen. Im Falle des Rollstuhls deklarieren Sie diesen beim Flug als Ihr eigenes medizinisches Gepäck, er wird kostenlos transportiert. Es ist Ihr ganz persönliches Projekt. Sie werden es auch selber durchführen, bis zur persönlichen Übergabe an den Menschen mit Behinderung, der ohne Ihr Engagement keine Chance mehr hätte, ein selbstbestimmtes Leben zu führen. Helfen Sie ihm dabei!
Teilnahmevoraussetzungen sind: fit und gesund, geimpft, teamfähig, sozial eingestellt, nett, abenteuerlustig, eine Auslands-Krankenversicherung und eine Reiseversicherung (bspw. ADAC-Plus).
The cost sharing amounts to € 1.290,-
contained therein:
- Assistance with fundraising for KM sponsors
- Own fundraising page (German, English)
- Own donation form
- Promotional material: flyer, own business card, T-shirts
- Handling of donations
- Advice/information regarding all questions that may arise, e.g. flight, transport of own bike if necessary, vaccinations, luggage, etc.
- 12 overnight stays in hotels/guesthouses, special locations in double rooms
- 1 service vehicle with driver
- Medical care during the entire tour
- Mechanic and e-parts for the rental bikes in case of defect; if you have your own bike, please bring the special model-related e-parts with you
- 1 local tour guide
- 1 German tour guide
- Water and fruit during the tour
- Local taxes and permits for which a fee is charged
- In case of fall/illness/abortion of the tour return transport to the starting point Luang Prabang
not included therein:
- Flight to/from Bangkok (from approx. € 450,-), flight Bangkok – Luang Prabang – Bangkok (from approx. € 70,-).
- Single room supplement € 250
- A rental bike (touring bike) costs € 15,- per day, damage due to crashes
- Food and drinks
