December 2016. Phnom Penh. As a participant of the first fundriding tour, the journey of my previous life has just ended.
I had a lot of fun with the team, no accidents, and I saw fantastic landscapes - and a lot of suffering and need of help. We were able to alleviate it a bit with our discovery tour, and so I made a promise back then - "Cambodia, see you again!"
And not only am I keeping promises and the need to help on the ground has not diminished, but because together we can make such a difference thanks to Roland's never-ending commitment, I am very pleased to be part of this great journey again in December 2018.
This time I have the opportunity as a tour guide to contribute a little more to this good cause. I will also support the participant with words and deeds alongside the scooter, support Roland, David and Phalla in ensuring that everyone reaches their destination safely and, as a raging reporter, keep those at home up to date via the social networks.
Tour guide or not - like any other driver, I am dependent on the support and social commitment of my fellow human beings - in the form of donations!
So, people, take heart and show your big heart, and your empathy, instead of talking, and support not me but the poorest of the poor with my mileage. The people who are not blessed with so much happiness, but who deserve to live a happy life at least as much as everyone else.
I can tell you from my own experience - the gratitude on site cannot be expressed in words and thus enriches my life and that of every participant like hardly anything else!
